Cnc is the abbreviation of CNC machining, which is the process of removing materials by machine precision machining. Finishing, that is, precision machining, is processing with high-precision processing machines. There are two main types of processing: manual processing customization and CNC processing customization. Manual processing customization refers to a method for processing various materials by a machine operator manually operating machine equipment (such as milling machines, lathes, drilling machines, and saws).

Manual processing is suitable for the production of small batches and simple parts. High precision machining (CNC machining customization) uses CNC equipment including machining centers, powder machining centers, WEDM equipment, thread cutting machines, etc. to perform mechanical operations.
The total thickness of the metal layer removed from the machining surface during the change from the blank to the finished product is called the total machining allowance of the surface. The thickness of the metal layer removed in each process is called the processing allowance between processes.

For rotating curved surfaces (such as external circles and holes), the machining allowance is considered by the diameter, so it is called symmetrical abundance (that is, bidirectional abundance). In other words, the thickness of the metal layer actually removed is half of the machining allowance on the diameter. The machining allowance of the plane is actually a single edge allowance, such as the thickness of the removed metal layer.

The purpose of leaving the machining allowance on the blank is to eliminate the machining errors and surface defects left in the previous process, such as the chilled layer on the surface of the casting, pores, cinnabar layer, oxide on the surface of the forging, decarburization layer, surface cracks, The internal stress layer and surface roughness after cutting. Improve the accuracy and surface roughness of the work.

The size of the processing allowance has a great influence on the processing quality and production efficiency. Too much processing margin will not only increase the processing workload and reduce productivity, but also increase materials, tools and power consumption, thereby increasing processing costs.

The processing allowance is too small to eliminate various defects and errors in the previous process, and it cannot compensate for the fixture error during the process, resulting in scrap. The selection principle is to ensure quality and make the margin as small as possible. In general, the more you complete, the smaller the job margin.
